Founded in 1976, the ATC is, perhaps, one of oldest professional groups representing the interests of translation companies in the world. It is dedicated not only to representing the interests of translation companies, but also to serving the needs of translation purchasers.

When seeking the service of a translation company, always look for the symbol of the Association of Translation Companies on the advertisement.

Members of the ATC are carefully vetted before admission into membership, adhere to a strict code of professional conduct, are subject to the rulings of a professional ethics committee and carry full professional indemnity insurance cover to safeguard the interests of the translation purchaser.

Translation companies
The Association of Translation Companies welcomes new members from around the world. Full membership is open to translation companies meeting our criteria and operating in the UK. Overseas membership is available to translation companies operating everywhere else outside the UK. Associate membership for a time limited period is offered to those companies not yet meeting the full criteria, while Affiliate membership status is available to those organisations and companies supplying the translation profession.
